Felting

Tried something new today -Needle felted figures (dry felting). Took me most of the day to do this but for my first attempt, I'm really pleased with the way this little fella turned out -

Got myself a big bag of wool, so hope to make him some friends soon. I also tried wet felting for the first time a few weeks ago, made these two pieces.

The second piece looks better in real life than it does in the photograph, the colours are much richer and there is shimmering thread incorporated throughout. Not sure yet,what to do with them, I might frame them or use them as cushion covers.

My soon-to-be Craft Room

My wonderful husband started to build a new shed recently and I asked him for a "small" corner of it, for a craft room, as at the moment my craft stuff is (literally) all over the place. Anyhow, a bit of successful negotiation later, it's no longer that small, but it's not ready yet either. I'm learning to be patient....

This is my lovely dog Walter. He's a springer spaniel, he's nine months old and has lived with us since November. He's brought a lot of joy into our lives, he's great fun and we'd be lost without him now.
